The East Midlands local group of the Royal Statistical Society will hold a meeting at the University of Nottingham on Thursday 8 October.
The guest speaker will be Professor David Firth, University of Warwick, who will speak on the topic “Journal rankings: Why (and how) should we care?”. The talk will be broadly accessible to anyone with an interest in bibliometrics, including non-academics.
Free, all welcome. Tea/coffee will be available from 5.30pm and Professor Firth’s talk will be at 6.15pm.
