John G Mosely (Geography, 1953)

Inspired by my birthplace — the Peak District — and five years’ study of geography and history at Nottingham (1950 to 1955), I’ve devoted my life to conservation. This has involved teaching and work as an activist at both the national (Australia) and international (World Conservation Union) levels. Connections is a great interest of mine and I see it in such things as the Saving the Antarctic Wilderness effort (see my 2009 book with that title) and promotion of the steady state economy (see my 2010 book — Steady State Alternative to Endless Economic Growth).
