Wendy’s happy return

Wendy Bonus enjoyed her visit to May Fest – 50 years after Canadian husband Hal proposed to her at the University.

The couple met in Wendy’s final year as Hal was working with a friend of hers who had graduated earlier.  Wendy (Social Administration 1963) was wowed by Hal’s 1939 MG car, which he later sold to buy an engagement ring. They were engaged as she graduated and moved to Canada where they’ve lived ever since. They now have two children and four grandchildren.
