Moving, Teaching, Inspiring: The Power of Place & Past in the Future of Adult Learning

A joint venture between The National Trust and The University of Nottingham, the Conference will be held at Attingham Park, a place of great significance in adult education history. You will enjoy this conference if you have an interest in:

  • the democratisation of knowledge

  • the role of place and space in learning
  • residential adult learning
  • spiritual renewal through access to beauty and history
  • instruction and self-improvement
  • learning and the historic environment

Keynote speakers at the conference are Professor John Field, Emeritus Professor, Lifelong Learning, University of Stirling and Simon Murray, National Trust Senior Director of Strategy, Curatorship and External Affairs. A list of other speakers can be found here.

Places for student delegates cost £100 and places for non-student delegates cost £120. You can register online for this event. Deadline for registering is 27 May.

Please note that the Conference opens on the day of the EU Referendum vote. We would advise conference delegates intending to vote in the EU Referendum to do so by using the postal system.
