Being Human: Nottingham celebrates the many ways ingenuity, logic, creation and innovation have worked and continue to work together in our city, forging its heritage and its modern identity.

From exploring local women’s experimentations combining the sciences and writing, Nottingham’s Cheese Riots, and Suffragette protests, to learning about creativity and mental health, this series of events will spotlight past and present local stories which celebrate Nottingham.

Being Human is a national festival that highlights the ways in which the humanities can:

• help us to understand ourselves, our relationships with others, and the challenges we face in a changing world.
