Come to the Weston Gallery for the private view of Manuscripts and Special Collections’ latest exhibition, Weather Extremes: Making and breaking records in Nottinghamshire.
The exhibition, co-curated by Professor Georgina Endfield and Dr Lucy Veale of the School of Geography, reveals the impact on local people of four centuries of extreme weather events including heavy snow, drought, flooding and a tornado. The exhibition will be officially opened by Helen Willetts, BBC Television weather presenter and meteorologist, an alumna of The University of Nottingham.
The exhibition opens to the public on Friday 16 December and runs until Sunday March 26, 2017.
