An introduction to how the media can help raise your profile.

This event will cover:

• what media look for in a story or a commentator
• the different ways you can make your research and expertise stand out
• how to prepare before going on camera
• how your press office can help

Guest speakers include Sally Newall (IndyBest), Rachael Pells (Times Higher Education), Jenn Selby (freelance), Gary Newby (ITV) and University of Nottingham Veterinary Virologist Dr Rachael Tarlinton.

The event will include brief introductions before a panel discussion, followed by a Q&A session and then an hour of networking over lunch.

The event is part of the Nottingham Women Expert Network (a partnership between University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University) and aimed at women who are keen to develop their understanding of the media. It is open to all members of the University.
