Precision Imaging Beacon — Catalyst Engagement Event

The Precision Imaging Beacon Team are hosting a launch event for the Precision Imaging Catalyst funding call.

The Precision Imaging Beacon of Excellence develops next generation imaging tools to enable precision medicine. They focus on major clinical challenges in the most difficult to treat diseases (e.g. chronic diseases, mental health disorders) that require complex interdisciplinary solutions.

Through the catalyst funding they will invest in new collaborations and concepts that are highly innovative, interdisciplinary and challenge-led. Research projects and programmes will be developed through the Catalyst process to create, in a cooperative manner, an excellent two-stage programme of work. They anticipate to fund the first stage of 4-5 proposals and to offer accelerator funding and Beacon support for smaller projects.

An engagement event will take place at 11.00-13.00 on Friday 5 April in Lecture Theatre 4, Medical School, QMC followed by lunch in the Medical School foyer.

Schedule:
11.00-11.30 Welcome and overview of the Catalyst with Professor Dorothee Auer, Ms Cheryl Ruse and Mrs Elizabeth Hufton
