In this Friends of University Park event, Professor John Beckett (Department of History) looks at how the Nottingham entrepreneur Jesse Boot facilitated the move to a new campus and a new college building in the 1920’s.
The Trent Building, as it is now called, with its iconic clock tower, remains a symbol of the University and is replicated on the China and Malaysia campuses. Refreshments provided.
Meet at the Law and Social Sciences Building Foyer, University Park (adjacent to the Millennium Garden car park). Admission £2 payable on the night. Numbers are limited, so please book by phoning 07825 753993.
