Japan Society for the Promotion of Science opportunities

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is an independent administrative institution established by Japanese national law for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of scientific research in all fields, playing a pivotal role in the administration of a wide spectrum of Japan’s scientific and academic programmes.

JSPS will deliver an exclusive online event for our university community to provide information about the variety of current funding opportunities the JSPS has for researchers at all stages (from doctoral-level students to academic staff) and in all fields in our university to collaborate with researchers in Japan.

They offer individual fellowships, funding for group-level projects and institutional-level collaborations to build international networks.

Speakers include:

Professor Naoto Kobayashi, Director, JSPS London;
Dr Yumiko Myoken, Deputy Director, JSPS London;
Professor Ruth Goodridge, Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), Faculty of Engineering, University of Nottingham; the former Chair of the JSPS Alumni Association of UK and Ireland.

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
