To celebrate International Women’s Day, the University of Nottingham are hosting Inspiring Women in STEM: #EmbraceEquity, a virtual talk aimed at current and prospective students, alumni, staff and the wider community.
Hosted by Professor Rachel Gomes and Dr Nagamani Bora, this interactive event will explore the International Women’s Day 2023 campaign theme: #EmbraceEquity as we bring together a panel of female STEM alumni to share their career journeys and experiences of gender equity in their industries.
The event aims to celebrate their inspiring achievements to encourage and support the next generation of graduates following in their footsteps. It will also highlight how we can all collectively embrace equity, diversity and inclusion to impact positive change in the STEM sphere and the importance of male allyship.
Run via Microsoft Teams, the event will feature short introductory talks from our hosts and alumni speakers, followed by an interactive Q&A session with the panel and the opportunity for audience members to ask questions in advance of and during the event.
