Film screening: Extravaganza (2018)

July, 2017. Drag queen Miss Jade has brought together 12 of the city’s drag performers for a one night show. Extravaganza takes you behind the scenes with the fiercest kings and queens in town. Matthew Baren makes films, collaborating on narrative and documentary projects in the UK, Hong Kong and China, exploring themes of socially constructed identity, life and death.

The screening lasts 45 minutes and will be followed by an In Conversation event with each director, chaired by Dr Hongwei Bao with Dr Jamie J Zhao.
