Brexit and social security: are the Withdrawal and Trade & Cooperation Agreements achieving their aims?

This one-day event, funded by the European Commission and organised by Dr Simon Roberts and the School of Sociology and Social Policy, will take place on Tuesday 12 September 2023 in the Senate Chamber at University of Nottingham.

It will be a rare opportunity to see the UK Government and the European Commission sharing a platform and roundtable alongside experts from the Scottish Parliament and EU member countries to examine whether the two post-Brexit agreements are achieving their aims regarding social security and healthcare for UK and EU mobile workers and citizens. In the final session, speakers will share a roundtable to respond to questions from the audience.

Participation in this one-day seminar is free with refreshments and lunch paid for by the European Commission. It is open to all staff and students at the University of Nottingham and to people from outside the university. However, it is necessary to register for a place, using the link above.
