Interested in finding out more about becoming a Volunteer Tutor for one hour a week? This session is exclusively for University staff members and postgraduate students.

The Access Project matches volunteer graduates with motivated students from disadvantaged areas for one-to-one academic tutorials. It provides them with in-school support and personalised tuition to help them gain access to selective universities. It works in partnership with schools in the Midlands and London and has a proven track record of raising student attainment and widening the access to quality education. The Access Project offers GCSE and A-level students tutorials in the following subjects:

  • GCSE: Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Georgraphy, History, French and Spanish.
  • A-level: Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Georgraphy, History, French, Spanish, Economics, Psychology, Sociology and Politics.
