Westfield’s MRI £25,000 donation

The University is a step closer to helping children needing complex brain surgery for tumours, thanks to a £25,000 donation from Westfield Health.

The donation will part-contribute towards a new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, which can detect serious conditions such as cancer, heart disease and brain disorders at an early stage.

Building on the University’s heritage and role in the development of MRI, Impact: the Nottingham Campaign will support major and diverse research programmes to significantly improve health outcomes and quality of life for patients and carers in areas including dementia, stroke rehabilitation and children’s health.
