A stylish place for alumni to stay

Situated next to the East Midlands Conference Centre, The Orchard Hotel complex provides top-class accommodation on University Park with extensive facilities. It has been built to the highest environmental standards, featuring state-of-the-art technology to minimise carbon emissions. These include a green roof, photovoltaic panels, energy-efficient lighting, heating and ventilation systems.

The hotel will aim to achieve an ‘excellent’ rating under the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM), which recognises low-impact buildings that incorporate the best environmental practice. It is the latest in a series of award-winning buildings developed on the University’s campuses which underline a commitment to sustainable architecture and construction.

The hotel is funded entirely by the University and managed by De Vere Venues. The beautifully designed complex will be available for use by conference delegates, University visitors, businesses and the public. Its 202 bedrooms include 55 executive suites and five accessible rooms. There is also a brasserie-style restaurant, bar, terrace, gym and four meeting rooms.

Architects and interior designers have created a venue with accessible roof-top gardens, a glass atrium reception and lobby which is flooded with natural daylight, floor-to-ceiling windows, bespoke furniture and unique decor throughout. An executive lounge, leading to an exclusive roof-top garden is reserved for those staying in executive accommodation, while a separate mezzanine provides a stunning area for private hire in the evening for up to 100 people.

As a valued member of the University’s alumni community, you can book into The Orchard Hotel at a discounted rate. All you need to do to take advantage of the alumni rate is to call the Alumni Hub at The University of Nottingham on +44 (0)115 823 2408 to confirm that you are an alumnus/alumna. You will then receive the code which you can use to book your room/s at the hotel on University Park Campus.
