The Australian High Commissioner, the Hon. Alexander Downer AC is visiting the University to deliver a lecture on the topic of Australia, Brexit and the rise of Asia. Presented by the Institute of Asia and Pacific Studies.
On Thursday 24 November, as part of a new seminar series organised in conjunction with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the China Policy Institute will host a round table event on the future direction of UK-China relations following the Brexit decision.
On 23rd June 2016, the UK voted to exit the EU. The referendum sparked a flurry of political changes in the government and a sharp rise in hate crimes reported to the police. Suddenly the UK has to confront questions of equality, tolerance and hate.
