Get rewarded for your sustainable actions with Green Rewards: launches today

March 2nd, 2021

This week is Sustainability Action Week and today (2 March 2021) the university is officially launching Green Rewards, to show that your sustainable choices matter.

The online platform and mobile app will show you what actions you can take and what impact they have, whether that’s saving carbon emissions, electricity or single-use cups and bottles. In return you’ll earn Green Points and the chance to win vouchers for yourself and charity donations for your team.

All staff and students at the university can get involved and you can sign up now at https://uon.greenrewards.co.uk/.

There’s a huge range of actions for you to take part in – from energy quizzes and recycling to eating local food and growing your own plants! The more actions you take, the more points you earn – and that’s where our prizes come in.

Each month the eight individuals who earn the most Green Points will win a £20 voucher, with a further two £20 vouchers handed out in a monthly raffle. Voucher winners can pick from a range of local and national brands, including Cow Vintage, Handmade Nottingham, online eco-store Boobalou, M&S and John Lewis.

And that’s not all. You’ll compete as part of a team, and every six months the teams that have earned the most Green Points per person will win a share of £200 to donate to their favourite charity.

These include: Cool Earth, the Trussell Trust Food Banks, the Humane League, Nottingham Wildlife Trust and Roots Out.
