The University is offering staff with a declared disability* the opportunity to book on to a three-day personal development and leadership programme tailored to address the challenges and experiences of disabled staff from any grade/job family.
The programme will be delivered by an expert disabled researcher and trainer across three sessions in late April/early May, and is led by the Professional Development Unit supported by the University’s Disabled Staff Network. Workshops are designed to support participants to develop strategies to develop themselves and their careers, including managing key relationships at work, image and positive communications.
Feedback from previous years has been very positive. A past participant commented: “The programme was really excellent in every respect. It was highly empowering for disabled staff to fulfil their roles effectively within the University.”
