November 24th, 2020

Applications are invited for Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) funding from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).

The IAA will fund translational research projects, knowledge exchange and development of knowledge exchange capabilities to further the following objectives:

  • strengthening the exchange of knowledge through culture and capability development, including through the development of skills for knowledge exchange activity
  • supporting early-stage knowledge exchange and commercialisation to the point where they would be supported by other funding
  • supporting new, innovative and imaginative approaches to knowledge exchange and impact, including processes that enable “fast failure” and appropriate learning
  • supporting activities that enable impact to be achieved in an effective and timely manner, including secondments and people exchange
  • strengthening user engagement

Applicants should have previously been supported by the BBSRC.

Further information is available on the Research Information System.

Full details, along with the application form, can be found on workspace.

There will be no expressions of interest for this call. The deadline for full applications is 12pm on Wednesday 16 December.
