The government has announced that EU nationals will remain eligible for postgraduate funding from Research Councils UK. Studentships will remain open to EU applicants beginning in the 2017/18 academic year, and funding will cover the duration of their courses even if the UK leaves the European Union during their period of study.

The announcement follows the government’s assurances for EU students’ access to student finance on undergraduate and masters courses.
