School of Education seminar presented by Dr Carmen Montecinos and Dr Luis Ahumada.

In November 2015, the Chilean Ministry of Education awarded funding for the creation of two national School Leadership Centres. This presentation will describe one of these Centres, awarded to a consortium of institutions lead by Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, in partnership with Universidad de Chile, Universidad de Concepción, Fundación Chile and University of Toronto in Canada. With school practitioners, through innovative professional development and research, we will generate knowledge and practices to respond to the challenges that educational leaders face as they work to improve educational quality and to inform the National Policy for Strengthening School Leadership.
