The poet Lord Bryon died 200 years ago, in April 1824, while fighting for Greek independence.
To mark this bicentenary a wide programme of events is being held throughout Nottinghamshire, with this lecture contributing through bringing together experts on different elements of his life and work.
Join us for a lively panel discussion, chaired by Associate Professor Richard Gaunt from the Department of History at University of Nottingham.
The lecture will open with a welcome from Greek-born Councillor Pavlos Kotsonis, Nottingham City Council’s Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture.
Six guest speakers will then present different viewpoints and perspectives on the life and legacy of Lord Byron, followed by a question-and-answer session.
