As part of The University of Nottingham (UoN) and Nottingham Trent University’s (NTU) shared commitment as Universities of Sanctuary, we are offering the opportunity for all colleagues involved in working with sanctuary seekers to attend an afternoon of training and discussion.

Run in collaboration with the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum, this event is for colleagues with an interest in working with sanctuary seekers, as well as those already doing so.

By attending the event, you can expect to learn more about issues impacting sanctuary seekers broadly, as well as locally, and to find out more about support at UoN and NTU and how that is currently developing.

Themes and topics you can expect to be covered include: resettlement schemes, rights and entitlements, barriers to accessing education (including HE), local challenges and relevant Nottingham-based organisations.
