The global climate crisis: defining the issue and identifying solutions.
Professor Simon Gosling, Professor of Climate Risk and Director of Research, School of Geography, will explore the factors that have contributed to the global climate crisis.
Professor Gosling will assess the vulnerability of people and ecosystems around the world to climate variability and explores some of the predictions of future climate change for pressing issues such as water security, sea level rise, food security, and human health. A range of potential solutions to the crisis will be discussed, including individual actions, government policies, and technological approaches.
This event will take place 5-7pm on Thursday 21 November in Room A48, Sir Clive Granger Building, University Park.
Attendance is free and all are welcome. For more information, and to book your place, please visit the event page.
