The University of Nottingham and Fudan University have signed an agreement marking the commitment to ensuring healthy operation and sustainable development of the Nottingham Confucius Institute.
The signing of the agreement took place on 4 May 2017, during 2017’s Universitas 21 Annual Network Meeting.
The Nottingham Confucius Institute — located at the Si Yuan Centre at Nottingham’s Jubilee Campus — offers courses to members of the public and organises events to promote the understanding of the Chinese language and culture, both locally and nationally. It does so by drawing upon the expertise and resources of the sponsoring institutions, The University of Nottingham and Fudan University.
Ahead of the signing, Fudan President Professor Xu Ningsheng and Nottingham Vice-Chanceller Professor Sir David Greenaway held a meeting focused on strengthening the collaboration between the two universities on a wider scale.
