The university’s reputation for excellence in research, teaching and student support has been recognised with shortlistings in two categories in this year’s Times Higher Education (THE) Awards – known widely as the annual ‘Oscars of Higher Education.’

This year, the university has been shortlisted in the following categories:

• Outstanding marketing/communications team – for the World’s First Micro-prospectus
• Research project of the year: STEM – for the wrist device developed that reduces the amount of severity of tics for Tourette’s Syndrome sufferers

The THE Awards are free to enter and open to anyone involved in Higher Education across the UK and Ireland.

Winners will be revealed at an in-person ceremony which will take place at the ACC in Liverpool on Thursday 7 December 2023.
