As part of the university’s ongoing commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, we are inviting applications for the celebration of Black history, culture, and achievements to take place during Black History Month in October 2023.
For funding applications, please complete this form by Thursday 7 September 2023.
This year’s national theme is ‘Saluting our sisters’ – highlighting black women’s critical role in shaping black history, culture and communities.
Funding will be awarded to host local events or activities to a maximum of £200, with applications to be assessed by the race equality theme leads.
Your events need to align with our EDI priorities for the year, and their impact will need to be evaluated.
Learn more about Black History Month on the official website.
