School of Veterinary Medicine and Science: open afternoon

Want to find out more about the Vet School’s innovative new dual-intake model? Come along to our open afternoon for staff on Monday 15 July.

Earlier this year, the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science announced that it would be introducing a new dual-intake (September and April) model to double the number of undergraduate students at the school.

The new model delivers the School’s strategy to deliver a cutting-edge innovative course whilst increasing the undergraduate student intake from 150 to 300, and concurrently preserving moderate class sizes and protecting our inspirational student-centered experience.

There is strong capability and skills within the School to deliver the project, which will take its first additional cohort in April 2020. The project delivers an opportunity to further improve curriculum content and delivery and to further improve the outstanding student experience we currently provide.

Our open afternoon — taking place 1-4pm, Monday 15 July — will provide University staff with an opportunity to find out more about the project, talk to the project team and look around the Vet School.

Agenda:

  • 1-2pm: Talk by Gary England (Dean of the School) – Introduction to the dual intake model (Room A30)
  • 2-4pm: Refreshments, poster viewing in the atrium area and tours of the School

This event is open to all staff at the University of Nottingham.

Booking is required: register your attendance at Eventbrite.
