Are you a parent with children aged nine to 19?  This innovative, solution-focused support programme might be for you.

Day one: Understanding your adolescent’s brain, effective communication and confident parenting
Thursday 30 May or Monday 24 June 2019
Day one of the programme explores the social, emotional and cogitative changes that are happening to your adolescent and helps you to develop your very own personalised tools to help you communicate effectively with your son or daughter.

Day two: Challenging negative adolescent attitude and behaviour, strategies to address adolescent anxiety and depression at home
Monday 3 June or Monday 1 July 2019
Here we examine ways to de-escalate conflict situations in the home whilst learning ways to effectively challenge unwanted adolescent incivility, rebelliousness and risk-taking.  It also explores approaches to positive living and positive mental health.

The programme is delivered by Anika Vassel, a psychologist with over 25 years’ experience specialising in adolescent behaviour.  She operates a clear ‘no judgement, no blame, no shame’ approach to this programme.

SAlly Wheatley

This looks like a suitable and helpful course for me, however, I cannot attend either date. Will there be a chance to attend another time?
Thanks,
Sally.
