Originally developed for self-defence, tai chi has evolved into a form of exercise combining graceful movement, stretching and mindfulness.
Over four weeks, instructor Lan Lo will introduce Taiji Zen 13 Essentials Form, devised by Master Wang Zhanhai, in collaboration with Jet Li’s Taiji Zen project in China. A kind of meditation through movement, it aims to promote health and happiness through a balance of physical wellness and mental fitness.
Workshops will take place at Highfields Park from 11am to 12pm on Saturday 10, Saturday 17, Saturday 24 and Saturday 31 July.
Tickets cost £4 per session, £12 for all 4 sessions.
Sessions are suitable for beginners and those aged 8+. All welcome.
