Will you help us deliver a ‘Wonder’-ful event?

March 15th, 2017

Sign up to be a Wonder Volunteer using this quick online form by 12 May.

On Saturday 17 June, we’re inviting everyone in Nottinghamshire to University Park campus for Wonder, our free one-day community event to ‘amaze and inspire curious minds’. Our programme is filled with incredible displays, talks and interactive experiments, but to make the day a success, we’re asking for help from 50 volunteers.

If you are not already running or manning an activity at Wonder and you would like to get involved, there are three valuable roles you could play on the day:

  • An activity helper: this is a hands-on role supporting a Wonder-ful activity such as The Inflativerse, an inflatable planetarium showing the Northern night sky.
  • A fundraising collector: this role will help to spread the message about the ground-breaking work happening in our Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre.
  • A community feedback volunteer: you’ll get to meet people from all different backgrounds in this role as you uncover ways that we can improve Wonder in future years.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Friendly and welcoming
  • Happy to approach strangers and have a chat
  • Keen to learn about the research and new technologies being developed at the University
  • Great organisers
  • Good with a map

If that sounds like you, please get in touch now – the deadline is 12 May. We look forward to welcoming you to the team.

For any general enquiries about Wonder please email wonderteam@nottingham.ac.uk.
