VC staff surgeries – new sessions

New ‘staff surgery’ sessions are available for colleagues to discuss any issue with Vice-Chancellor Professor Shearer West, with the next set of appointments available on Tuesday 18 January 2022.

Booking your session

To register for a session, please email BA-VC-Surgery@exmail.nottingham.ac.uk with your preferred date from the list below and a brief agenda for the meeting.

Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so colleagues are encouraged to book early.

You will be contacted within two working days of your request confirming the date and time.

Surgery sessions are available on:

  • Tuesday 18 January, 09:00 – 10:00
  • Tuesday 15 February, 09:00 – 10:00
  • Wednesday 9 March, 11:00 – 12:00
  • Tuesday 12 April, 15:00 – 16:00
  • Tuesday 24 May, 09:00 – 10:00
  • Thursday 16 June, 09:00 -10:00
  • Tuesday 19 July, 14:00 – 15:00

VC staff engagement this term

As well as resuming her regular series of staff surgeries and VC blogs, Professor West will be holding an extensive series of in-person events and conversations with staff and students – as well as hosting a further round of larger meetings for faculties and professional services departments via Teams:

  • Faculty of Arts: Tuesday 15 February 14:00 – 15:00
  • Faculty of Social Sciences: Wednesday 16 February, 09:00 – 10:00
  • Faculty of Engineering: Wednesday 16 February, 15:00 – 16:00
  • Faculty of Science: Thursday 17 February, 10:00 – 11:00
  • Registrar’s Department & Human Resources: Tuesday 22 February, 10:00 – 11:00
  • Finance & Infrastructure: Monday 28 February, 10:00 – 11:00

The Vice-Chancellor will continue to lead the fortnightly Teams briefings for senior leaders across the institution to discuss the latest news and external developments affecting the university, as well as providing regular updates via email for information and cascade within faculties, schools and departments.
