UNNC alumni start-up goes to Rome

January 3rd, 2018

A University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) alumni start-up company has gained international recognition and acclaim after a business presentation at the Vatican.

Representatives from the company, Innov8tia, presented their industrial sludge cleaning technology to the assembled guests at the Laudato Si’ Challenge during the first week of December 2017.

Those invited to the event included Vatican dignitaries and over one hundred investment fund managers.

Innov8tia — which obtained a UNNC patent to develop the technology — runs its business from the Nottingham-Ningbo Incubator Centre at UNNC.

The start-up company has already attracted more than US$100 million in sponsorship to speed up the commercial application of its innovative sludge cleaning treatment.
