The Future Leaders programme from the Leadership and Management Academy (LMA) is for members of staff who want to develop the skills, qualities and level of personal understanding needed to lead into the future.

Recognising that leadership requirements are changing and that the demands of leadership require a broader range of skills than may currently exist, it supports the University’s need to encourage and enable individuals across all job families to grow and develop in their leadership roles.

Whether you already have leadership experience in research groups, project teams or support functions, or have been identified as a high potential leader or “high flyer” as part of your PDPR review, you are welcome to apply to join the programme.

Staff from all job families are invited to apply, and the deadline for applications is Friday 10 November.

Other development programmes from the LMA

The Leadership and Management Academy (LMA) has other programmes specifically aimed at developing your leadership skills, and three of our other development programmes are also still open for applications until Monday 30 October:

• The Strategic Leaders Programme – aimed at leaders with University wide responsibility looking to develop their strategic leadership skills.
• The Stepping into Leadership Programme – if you’re in your first leadership role, this programme is for you, whether you’re leading a team, a project or a piece of work; it’s also a great place to start if you’ve been leading for a while but haven’t yet had an opportunity for formal leadership development.
• The Aspiring Leaders Programme – for any member of staff thinking about taking on their first leadership role
