The Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies is celebrating 40 years teaching Slovene at UoN, in collaboration with the Centre for Slovene as a Second/Foreign Language at the Faculty of Arts, the University of Ljubljana, and the Slovenian Embassy in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

International Mother Language Day 2015

This celebratory event recognises the importance of language in maintaining cultural heritage and in creating an awareness of linguistic diversity. Visitors can drop by during the day to get a taste of the activities on offer and learn more about the different languages spoken by staff, students and alumni of the University.
