Summer of sport for UoN staff

June 5th, 2015

This summer, University of Nottingham Sport are excited to offer a huge programme of sports activities and events for staff at the University.

The sports courses, leagues and festivals allow staff the chance to have fun, relax and meet colleagues from across the University. All are low-cost, with qualified instructors and all equipment available to borrow.

Popular coaching sessions – Golf, Nordic Walking, Running and Tennis will continue into June and July and new this time are Women’s Indoor Cricket, Netball and even Sailing at the National Watersports Centre, Holme Pierrepont. All courses (excluding Golf) start week commencing Tuesday 9 June, and can be joined at any point, space permitting.

Also on the schedule is the Staff Football League, running every Tuesday from 23 June. Open to men’s 5-a-side teams, rosters can include unlimited players and costs just £35 per team for seven weeks of play.

Not got the time to commit weekly? Why not get a team together for our Staff Sports Day at Sutton Bonington on Wednesday 8 July (space hoppers included) or the Mixed Netball Festival on Thursday 23 July at Jubilee Sports Centre. Open to all staff members from all campuses, both events are free-of-charge.

All the above are a fantastic opportunity to socialise with colleagues and other University staff whilst keeping fit at the same time – why not join in?
