Strategy for Development-Focused Research and Innovation Funding — workshops

May 24th, 2018

*UPDATE: Due to high demand, a third Theory of Change Workshop has been scheduled on Wednesday 20 June 2018. Please see update below.*

Theory of Change Workshops have been scheduled for researchers who wish to apply for funding under the Strategy for Development-Focused Research and Innovation.

The workshops are for researchers seeking to undertake research with countries on the DAC list, under funding guidelines that are official development assistance (ODA) compliant.

This funding is new activity under the 2018-2021 Strategy for Development-Focused Research and Innovation and a number of internal funding calls will be launched before August. These new schemes will be funded via the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) element of QR from Research England.

In order to be eligible for these internal funds, applicants must evidence that they have attended a Theory of Change workshop. This is a critical guideline for future ODA funding from research councils and a requirement for applicants to the internal funding calls.

For the first set of funding calls, there are two workshops available to attend. These workshops will take place at Vaughn Parry Williams Pavilion, Highfields Sports Complex, University Boulevard at the following times:
