A series of research roadshows recently unveiled the University’s Research Vision and acknowledged the contributions of researchers and support staff in an exciting new chapter in the University’s history.
Staff heard from Professor Dame Jessica Corner, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Exchange, at roadshows across our three campuses to outline What our Research Vision means for you.
Dame Jessica acknowledged the dedication of researchers and support staff for their ongoing commitment as she outlined the University’s Research Vision, and detailed how this will support and develop our world-class researchers including unlocking and developing potential in people, infrastructure and digital systems.
The audience also heard from the directors of our six new Beacons of Excellence, who will champion the University’s transdisciplinary responses to some of today’s global challenges.

The University’s Research Vision and investment will be officially unveiled on Thursday 22 June at The Royal Society in London.
