The University has commenced recruitment for the role of Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion – a UEB level position overseeing EDI across the University.
EDI is of crucial importance to our people and our culture as a University and we have set out a clear ambition to create a culture and working and learning environment which encourages staff and students to work in an inclusive and respectful way.
Over the last two years new University structures have been introduced to help us to embed effective EDI practices throughout our university, working to deliver the Institutional Equality Objectives alongside local priorities.
The new PVC EDI will be key to realising our institutional EDI aims and ambitions and will be responsible for embedding EDI at the heart of how we think and operate as a university.
As fixed term (three year), full-time position, the PVC EDI role is open for application from level 7 R&T colleagues. Interest is welcomed from across our University community, including opportunities for a job share.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 19 June 2018 and the successful candidate will commence in post on Wednesday 1 August 2018.
For further information, or to make an informal enquiry, please contact Jaspal Kaur, Director of HR (extension 15780).
