Update on Nottingham Reward Scheme

February 5th, 2024

As part of a number of cost saving options that have been proposed to address the current financial challenges, it was agreed this week that we would pause nominations and rewards made through the Nottingham Reward Scheme effective from 1 January 2024.

Approved NRS nominations made up to 31 December 2023 will continue to be processed, with payments made in February 2024 in line with our usual processing timescales outlined in the NRS guidance.

Vouchers that have been submitted and approved up to and including 31 January 2024 will be honoured.

Effective from 1 February 2024, colleagues will be unable to make nominations for NRS rewards at any level. Nominations submitted between 1 January and 31 January 2024 will be temporarily put on-hold for consideration within the next window when we restart nominations.

This was a very difficult decision and we remain committed to recognising the wonderful contributions of our colleagues.

We hope to be able to restart nominations from 1 September 2024, and will continue to keep this under review, taking into account our financial position for the 2024/25 academic year.
