Nottingham graduate goes back to uni to launch startup

October 13th, 2016

Recent University of Nottingham graduate Oliver Rodney has returned to launch his new startup, TX.

TX is an app that will help people buy and sell tickets quickly and efficiently. Oliver had the idea when he was studying industrial economics at university and working as a ticket rep for club nights in the city.

Oliver says: “Hundreds of people were spending hours every day trying to track down event tickets for the nights they wanted to go to. It struck me there must be a better way.”

After getting talent scouted for a startup accelerator internship, run by Start Me Up in Bali, Oliver left the UK to spend two months working on the idea with support from expert mentors. While there he attracted interest from an accomplished San Francisco based app developer, who has pledged to be CTO of TX if he can attract enough interest amongst the student population in Nottingham.

Oliver is now back in Nottingham to attract email signups for TX. If you would like to show your support for Oliver and TX, you can sign up online. You can also find out more about the app on the TX Facebook page.
