The Asda Foundation Nottingham 10k is coming up on Sunday 16 June – it’s taking place on campus with proceeds going towards cancer research and improving the lives of people with cancer.
Thousands of runners are expected to take part in the event, which will see £5 of every entry going to the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre (NBCRC) and all further profits supporting the work of the Jane Tomlinson Appeal across the UK.
The race will be started by Tim Pollard (Nottingham’s official Robin Hood), who will also be running/walking for the NBCRC. The race will be taking place two years to the day that Tim’s wife, University of Nottingham colleague Sally Pollard, sadly died of breast cancer. Dressed in his role as Robin Hood, Tim will be joining the runners to fundraise along the way and will be wearing our Vest on a Quest.
Best wishes to all who are involved in the 10k and helping to raise funds and awareness.
