In early May 2017, we will be inviting returning students to make preliminary module choices for the 2017/18 academic year. A copy of the communication sent to students is available here.

This year we will be using a new online form which will be available from Monday 8 May until Friday 12 May 2017. All returning students will use the same online form. Students have been informed that we will contact them again in early May, before the online form opens, with a link and instructions. We will also provide more information about how to check which modules are available in 2017/18, and how to confirm the requirements of their programme of study.

The communications we send to students will be specific to their programme of study and will, where required, provide instructions about entering choices in preference order or choosing more than 120 credits (in case they have to be allocated an alternative choice). As ever we are advising students that submitting the form doesn’t guarantee a place as enrolment on any module is subject to timetabling and course requirements. The follow-up communication will also include information about how students will be able to see their choices via the module screen in Blue Castle once they have been checked and uploaded into Saturn.

On Monday 15 May 2017, we will begin the process of checking module choices, including allocations to capped modules. This process will be led by colleagues in Student Services but may need to involve module convenors in Schools and Faculties to, for example, confirm that students meet the pre-requisites to study on the module.
