The Family Link scheme pairs our international students, academic visitors and their families with local residents to help them experience British culture and to give them a warm welcome to their new community.

The scheme is open to University staff, alumni and local residents.

How you can help 

As a Family Link Host, you’ll meet up with students once per term (or more if desired) for a couple of hours each time. You could take a trip to Lakeside Arts, meet up for a coffee or invite your students over for a Sunday roast — the only limit is your imagination!
