London marathon 2022 places for UoN staff

October 12th, 2021

Ever wanted to run the most iconic marathon in the world? Now is your chance to do something incredible in 2022!

Karnival — the Students’ Union fundraising organisation — has partnered up with the Meningitis Research Foundation to give you the opportunity to get involved in something phenomenal.

They have been allocated 250 places in the marathon, and those who wish to run it for them will have to raise £2,000 for the charity.

Tune into their information webinar at 1pm OR 6pm on Thursday 14 October to hear from the Meningitis Research Foundation about how to get involved in this life-changing challenge.

  • Run the London Marathon
  • Transferable skills for your CV
  • Raise money for an incredible cause
  • Tick something huge off your bucket list

All colleagues are encouraged to spread the message among both staff and students, as widely as possible.

Last year, a team of 29 students from Karnival took on an Everest Base Camp charity trek, raising around £45,000 for the Meningitis Research Foundation!

For more information, please visit the Meningitis Research Foundation webpages.

If you have any questions you can get in touch with the team.

Hello,

I would love to participate in this. I will try to attend the information webinar on Thursday 6pm, but in case I can’t attend, could you please send me the information slides via email?

Best wishes,

Hi Wasiur. No problem, if you email our Students’ Union team letting them know, they will be able to provide you with the information slides from the presentation. Thanks.
