The University of Nottingham is part of a consortium recently awarded £31m by the UKRI to bring together researchers across the UK to understand how to shape and develop responsible Artificial Intelligence to benefit people, communities and society.
RAI UK will draw on a wide range of academic disciplines to conduct and fund research into responsible AI. We are now looking to establish a University of Nottingham-wide network to include academics, researchers, students and staff with an interest in investigating responsible AI.
We recognise that there are many AI-related research projects already being conducted at the University, along with several applications for AI research funding in process.
The aim of this network is to build a well-rounded group of experts and lay persons with an interest in getting (further) involved and/or contributing towards research focussing on responsible AI, public engagement activity and policy initiatives in the rapidly evolving AI landscape. We hope the network will also grow into a central contact point to start wider conversations and act as a reputable and well recognised mechanism for dissemination about matters relating to responsible AI.
If you are interested in joining the network or would like to find out more, please get in touch by completing this form.
RAI UK have just announced their first funding call. Details about the Accelerator funding can be found here, and the closing date for submissions is Thursday 7 September 2023.
