Winter Graduation 2016 - David Ross Sports Village

Help out at summer graduation

May 22nd, 2018

Graduation is one of the most exciting times on campus, and each year we rely on a huge team of University staff and volunteers to help make it a memorable occasion for our students. Graduation will take place from Thursday 12 July – Friday 20 July this year and we need staff volunteers to join us as stewards at these ceremonies.

Approximately 30 stewards are needed for each of the 21 ceremonies. This is a great opportunity to see students celebrate the culmination of their studies.

Stewards will be asked to help with:

  • welcoming guests and students
  • guiding guests and students to their seats
  • sign-posting guests to key activities
  • making arrangements for guests with individual requirements
  • answering queries and helping with problems on the day

How to volunteer

Please check the list of the dates and times for ceremonies. Before registering your interest, please check that you have the approval of your line manager. You can then complete the online form.

No previous experience is necessary. We welcome both returning stewards and those who have never stewarded before.

If you have any questions, please contact graduation@nottingham.ac.uk.

HI

I have already indicated by email that I would like to Bedell on Thursday 12 July all day (I have links with two out of the three ceremonies, so might as well do all three). I am also happy to Bedell another day in the second week as well if it helps.

Hope this request can be accommodated. I have permission from my line manager, Chris Denning.
