An updated guide for supporting transgender staff is now available on the EDI and HR web pages.

The guide is intended to be a useful source of information to support staff who are planning, are in the process of, or have transitioned as well as to help managers and/or colleagues support trans staff effectively in the workplace.

It incorporates best practise from AdvanceHE, Stonewall and the Government Equalities Office.

The guide contains information on areas which will be relevant to all staff for example updated advice on use of inclusive language, what it means to be trans and the University’s commitment to inclusivity in the workplace. We encourage all staff to read the guide – you can find a copy here.
