Graduation ceremonies – classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022

February 1st, 2022

The dates of the in-person graduation ceremonies for the class of 2022 have now been confirmed, along with the postponed ceremonies for the class of 2020 and 2021.

The Graduation Team are excited to be able to share the dates of this year’s in-person graduation ceremonies.

Class of 2020 and 2021

  • Saturday 7 – Friday 13 May 2022
East Midlands Conference Centre (EMCC), University Park Campus
  • Friday 5 – Saturday 13 August 2022
David Ross Sports Village (DRSV), University Park Campus

Graduates will be able to choose which set of the above ceremonies they wish to attend. We are also working with UNM and UNNC to provide opportunities for these year groups to attend ceremonies in Semenyih and Ningbo for those who would find it more convenient than travelling to the UK for their celebration. Dates are to be confirmed.

Class of 2022

  • Wednesday 27 July – Thursday 4 August
David Ross Sports Village (DRSV), University Park Campus

Graduands and graduates will be able to bring guests to all of the above ceremonies and we will not be charging for guest tickets for the UK ceremonies this year.

We’ll be emailing all students and graduates to inform them of the graduation dates on Thursday 3 February. The Graduation webpages will also be updated at this point.

Each year staff generously volunteer their time to help us put on the graduation ceremonies and we wouldn’t be able to do this without you. Information on how to volunteer will be made available soon.

Thank you so much for the latest newsletter. I would be very interested in being considered for work at the Graduation Ceremonies taking place this summer. In the pre-pandemic era I work for the Graduation team twice a year for 4 years, undertaking a customer facing role and also acting as bedell. I acquired considerable experience in these roles and loved the positive and welcoming environment within which these events took place.

Please advise if I need to contact the Graduation team personally or will we be able to state expressions of interest via this medium

Many thanks

Hi Michael, thanks for getting in touch. If you keep an eye on Campus News and in the weekly newsletter, more information about how to volunteer to help out at a graduation ceremony will be coming in the next few months. Thanks.
